Paris, FRANCE – Kenyans in France gathered at the Kenyan Embassy in Paris on 27th August from 5 p.m. to celebrate Kenya’s rebirth. There was a large turnout of Kenyans at the event despite August being a holiday month in Paris. This attests to the pride and importance which Kenyans attached to this momentous occasion.
In the lively and merry ambiance, Kenyans enjoyed mbuzi and expressed their joy in the passage of the new constitution and their renewed hope in the country. They particularly rejoiced in the possibility of dual citizenship which will allow them and their families to not only enjoy the privileges of being Kenyan citizens but also facilitate investing in Kenya and hence contributing to its development.
