International Festival of Grand Quevilly

The Kenya Embassy in France wishes to inform Kenyans in France that the International Festival of Grand Quevilly (near Rouen) shall take place between the 22nd and 28th March 2010. The festival’s organisers include the Friends of the Indian Ocean who have invited Kenya to participate. The festival aims to promote culture through songs, dances, traditional music, exhibition of paintings, sculptures, handicrafts, sports, etc.

Kenyans in France who wish to take part are therefore invited to contact the Embassy by email at info@ambassade-kenya.fr or by telephone at 01 56 62 25 25.

In particular from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th March, there is the possibility to display and sell Kenyan artefacts at the Gaumont Cinema from 13h30 to 22h00. The space shall be provided for free and no commission shall be charged for sales made. This would be a good opportunity to promote the creative work of Kenyans. Exhibitors would be expected to meet their own transport to and from Rouen as well as meals. However the Embassy shall negotiate with the organisers for subsidised accommodation.

Kenyans living in Rouen or in the proximity of Grand Quevilly are requested to get in touch with the Kenya Embassy.
