WILSON KIPROP WINS THE 18TH EDITION OF THE PARIS HALF MARATHON, (PARIS – 7TH MARCH, 2010)
Paris, France – Wilson Kiprop won the 18th Edition of the Paris Half Marathon defeating Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia on a windy and very cold morning. The athletes ran a course from Chateau de Vincennes, in the East of Paris, going through place de la Nation, Bastille and Hotel de Ville on a course that ran through the streets of the historic French Revolution.

Kiprop won the Half Marathon in a time of 01:01:26 in a race that had over 27,000 athletes participating in it. Kiprop was in the leading pack from the early stages of the race. With 6km to go, the race became an exciting four-man race between Kiprop of Kenya, Desisa, Sahle Warga and Assefa of Ethiopia.
During the last 100 metres,Kiprop was engaged in a neck-to-neck battle with Desisa, unleashing his final kick at the end which saw edge out Desisa by two seconds.
